Impress a date by learning to cook some gourmet cuisine. Here are some of the best cooking classes around you.

COOK  - 253 S 20th St.

Only a short distance away from your luxury apartment in Philly, COOK is a unique boutique with a kitchen-classroom that hosts chef tastings, cooking demonstrations, and cooking classes. They have so many different classes, it will be hard to choose which ones to attend. Hurry – their classrooms seat 16 students, and they fill up fast! They also host private events and have a boutique that is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. where you can buy cookbooks, kitchen tools, gifts, and more.

He offers a Wok ’N’ Walk Tour of Chinatown, which includes a walking tour of Philly’s Chinatown that will take you to a fortune cookie factory, an Asian grocery store to have a Chinese herbal medicine discussion, a Chinese place of worship, a Chinese bakery, and many more locations. His tours have been featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Tonight Show, and The Food Network! At the end of the tour, you will get a tasty dim sum lunch or dinner in Chinatown.

You can also schedule a private and/or corporate cooking lesson event, which is Chef Joseph Poon’s speciality. This is perfect for a group outing and a work event!

 

Clean Your Plate - 937 6th St

Chef Christina Dimacali at Clean Your Plate will teach you how to prepare a delicious meal in your own kitchen during a private lesson, cooking party, or cooking demonstration. Private lessons are one-on-one with lessons with a customized menu that takes into account your experience level. She will provide all necessary groceries and appliances. Cooking parties can be a great way to get your friends together for a fun event that includes talking, making, and eating food. Sounds good to us!

 

Christina Cooks - 243 Dickinson St

If you’re interested in Italian and vegan food, you may also be interested in going to a class with chef Christina Pirello at Christina Cooks. Sign up for a demonstration class and learn how to make some vegan dishes. She also offers a three-day hands-on intensive classes, as well as single hands-on classes.
